pineapples on shit
In attempt to escape our blog homework, we took a little detour and went grocery shopping. And thank the blog gods we did because while in the produce isle April bought a pineapple. Which caused Kelsey to pipe in, "I can't wait to bust out my pineapple purse!" (Which, fun fact, she purchased at Gymboree, a children's store, in 2004), "I saw one just like it in a fashion mag the other day--got me excited..." This reminded them of the pineapple t-shirt their friend Dayna had nearly purchased two days earlier. Which prompted them to decide, PINEAPPLES ARE EVERYWHERE AND WE NEED TO WRITE ABOUT THAT. Grocery aisle inspo!
Pineapples in fashion have been a micro trend circa Stella McCartney at Chloé in 2001. The seed was planted when she unleashed her jaw-dropping, eye-popping, pineapple-crotched swimwear and they've been slowly coming into fruition ever since. (Second fun fact, pineapples take a very long time to grow--18 months! That's twice the amount of time it takes to make a human baby!)
Here's a sampling of some sweet pineapple swag that can help make every day feel like you're diving into a giant Piña Colada!
